what count as an afterlife kill?

i must be stupid or something unless the new update has changed some requirements for afterlife kills. it has been increasingly difficult to get one yet i used to score those frequently

for context im doing a calling card challenge for prestige 20

you kill showing up after your death in the kill feed.

aye thanks for the example but im really asking if there has been changes for afterkill requirements. ive had mines and claymores detonating after death (and killing the person activating them mind you) but the counter doesn't increase. just been wondering if this is bugged or not

You can also drop grenades before you dies and that will count as afterlife kills.

And throw a drillcharge to an AFC vehicle (or any vehicle with a driver) then you die, but the drillcharge that you throw first, will kill driver (or others inside) and give you afterlife kill(s).

'Shoot someone with explosive arrows with the bow" then someone kills you and the one that you hit with the arrow will explode and die... afterlife kill...

There are so many ways to get them done

the grenade afterlife kills have also been bugged for me which doesn't increase the counter. tho i'll take your words with the rest since im mainly a multiplayer person and the only br mode i play thoroughly is lockdown lol

what im really asking that i knew for sure had gotten kills after death but there wasnt any pop up that says so, was hoping for similar questions. but thanks!

I have done that challenge.
Some challenges don't pop up, if there are more then one done at the same time.

I always check directly in the section, like this in prestige 20.
Then you can see if there is any progress.

You can also mark 6 challenges as fav and they will be on top when you check callingcard challenges, under tab ALL.

what i meant is the in-game pop up that says what you have done in the game like "1 kill, double kill, triple kill" etc etc yknow? the afterlife kills never popped up for me even after a bunch of successful kills after death. and from the very first post i made i had clarified that i "used to score afterlife kills like its nothing" suddenly it just gets difficult to do so

I understand that You get nothing in game, no pop up info.
i have had that with several challenges - no popup in game, but then i check that spesific challenge, for weapon, card or anything, it has been counted.

If you checked prestige 20 and got nothing, try to delete everything under -
Your Documents/call of duty - be aware of that all your settings will be set back to default.
