Anyone else find the profanity filter.........
Pointless?

I mean, its an 17+ game with mature content: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Suggestive themes and Use of Drugs, and yet the in-game chat has a profanity filter.

What is the point in that? Why have a profanity filter in chat if the game has such content embedded, its a little hypocritical if you ask me.

Calling someone a "♥♥♥♥", is not as bad as telling someone to "♥♥♥" in my opinion, and yet through testing, you can see for yourself. the word ♥♥♥♥ is more mature than someone telling you to "kill your self" had to look that up on Urban Dictionary.

I thought it might of been Korean Yuzu Salmon, turns out I was wrong! :steamthis:

But yet profanity abounds in the actual game by bots..lol Can't name your own guns whatever you please for the profanity filter, but yet the bot s can ask "where the ♥♥♥♥ are they ?' Company is a complete joke on so many levels.

yall are mistaking profanity for immaturity.

you can cuss in the game all you want, and even type it in the chat.

what is immature, is calling other people names.

big difference between using a vocabulary to hurt someone and using a vocabulary to simply speak.

also, it's technically against the law to tell someone to off themselves so good job being a dirt bag.

and for those who think free speech protects them, it does not.

otherwise freedom of expression would allow people to vandalize and rape at will.

the right is what is protected, not the individual.

you can do what you want, say what you want; just expect consequences for being a dirt bag.

There’s a filter?

I know gun names have a filter, but I didn’t know text chat had one

The ♥♥♥ reference was said to me, not initiated by me. FYI

Language is not a weapon, it's the soft souls that get offended online that are the problem. "Offence is never given, it is only ever taken" Anyone who takes offence online in the gaming environment should disconnect and take a break, especially in a mature content game.

The ones offended usually come from cultural backgrounds that differ from the ones using such language, but they do not look at it from the other perspective. Mainly just narrow-mindedness in that their culture, way is the only way! Insert Mandalorian "This is the way"

Anyone has the right to say what they want, how they want and to whoever they want, otherwise you are censoring the nature of language and communication. If someone takes offence to what has been said, then they should look within themselves and ask why? Why have I taken offence to that comment/statement.

Take a minute, remember without the internet you would never of seen or heard these comments. Take a Break.

Have a Kit-Kat

I didn't even know it worked on gun names, so thanks for the heads up.
