I did a clean Windows 11 instal installed latest Nvidia driver and only got cod installed on my laptop.
I got a Lenovo Legion 5 Intel with a rtx2060
The Strangest thing is that when i play normal mp Warzone it dont happen. Only in zombies its so frustrating late game and boom direct x error hopefully somebody knows how to fix it.
I changed my direct x and forced it to be 11 and it fixed it. i fully uninstalled and reinstalled dirext x as well.
multiple games install directx when first running which can cause issues.
before doing that tho follow the below to see if it even fixes your issue
follow these steps to change the DirectX version on Steam: Open Steam. Go to the Library tab and select Call Of Duty Warzone 2. Right-click on the game and select Properties. In the left pane, go to General tab, go to LAUNCH OPTIONS type the following command: -force -dx11
I Have GTX 1650
AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (3.30 GHz)
8gGB of rám
I Aldo got 64 bit windows11

Asus ROG GA35DX
Ryzen 9 5900x
2x16GB DDR4 3200mhz Corsair
Asus RTX 3090
And had the crashes with CoD, Apex, New World, etc...
AC cooled room, good temps, windows updated, AMD and Nvidia drivers up-to-date, uninstalled several apps, services, overlays, modified registry values (TDR), tested the memories, the GPU, underclock CPU, memory, GPU, overclock, nothing worked, DDUed the drivers and went back couple versiones (wich i used in the last computer with no problems), and nothing appeared to work!! I was not able to stay insise a game for more than 5 minutes without getting error 0x887a0005 or 0x887a0006!!
I was desperate and finally, I just went to Activision troubleshooting page in where i found this:
Nvidia
The recommended driver version for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is 546.29.
(Be quick, this is the last one to get if you go to old drivers section)
Rebooted to safe-mode, DDUed the driver, restarted into normal mode, installed the driver with no geforce experiencie, advanced installation, clean install, after that i could play back again with almost no problems, i think the new drivers are very well optimized for new RTX from 40 series, so when it pushes this demands on 30 series or lower it just fails, the driver stops getting more orders (commands) and TDR fails, i think that for now this is going to be a temporal solution for me, i set all the clock back to originals (includen normal boosts, xmp, etc) and worked normally back again.
Not sure, but i think AMD and Intel users should work too!
Here the drivers that works with AMD and Intel:
AMD
The recommended driver version for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is 23.10.2.
Intel
The recommended driver version for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is 31.0.101.4972.
Hopefully works for you too guys, please confirm!

That's what worked for me
The only thing that worked for me:
- Clean directx cache in cleandisk: Hit windows button, type clean, select "clean disk utility" and among the options there is one of Directx cache.
- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 shaders optimization. As it's done when you start the game , every time I start the game I hit the 'reinitiate shader optimization', for the next time I start the game.
Even like this, I only can play like 2 games (one if it's long like Al Mazra DMZ) and I have to repeat the steps before (both of them) Not doing so, I get a 50% chance of error, even in the first game.
Hope this helps.
