why do I get around 50 fps with 3050ti on low settings?
I've watched many videos of guys playing with 3050ti and they were getting 80-90 on medium to high skills while I cant even get 60 on low settings. Can anyone help me out?

Try running the built in Benchmark map and see if that helps any.

3050 maxes out at 50 fps. If you want 80 or 90 fps consider the 3080 or 3090.

i7 8700k, 1080ti here. averaging 90-130fps on very customised low - ultra graphics (anything that increases my view distance / enemy visability = ultra. everything else = low).

with that said, the 3050ti isnt 'great', its average / upper end of average.

heres something you can do.

Press ALT+Z (opens NVIDIA Geforce experience)
Click on Performance
under "Performance Tuning" there should be something called "Auto Tuning"(something like that, 1080ti cant do it so i can see exactly), enable this.
This will automatically overclock your GPU.

Hopefully enabling that gives you some more frames, other than that, put all settings on low thatre eye candy

Sounds like a skill issue.

Thats on a desktop. Laptops are different. Usually downclocked (made slower), with a SATA SSD instead of a M.2 NVME SSD, RAM thats only 2666mhz instead of 3200mhz-6000mhz. AND the problem with overheating causing your CPU and GPU to downclock further (Slow down) to keep from overheating and turning off.

Get the biggest laptop cooler pad you can it'll help.
