The game itself is phenomenal. The community and generally the tryharding in this game is the complete opposite.
1. people who paid for the game didn't appreciate most of the devs attention being moved to the F2P version (even know they must have known this was going to happen)
2. its popular to review bomb games - either told to by "someone else", or just because "lel its funny"
3. the multiplayer was a letdown (i have only played MP on the free weekend, but what i experienced was lacklustre and yawnish)
4. the General toxicity of the player base has reached critical levels, be it Via Voicechat/textchat, abhorrent in-game behaviour and the hacking, its worse, in my opinion, than its ever been before* and normal people are growing tired of it.
obviously, these are just my opinions.
*(the hacking was worse in WZ1, just before the Map change)
The Multiplayer has a seperate rating and thats actually mixed or something, at least miles better than warzone2
Calling people "Tryhards" is the same thing as getting mad that someone beat you and ragequitting.
It's blaming anything and everything but your own ability.
So...at launch, the game was in real bad shape. Like REAL bad shape. It got better. Then things dipped again. The network has been faulty, and some of the bugs have been rough.
However, there's also a LOT of people trolling. People leaving negative reviews after a bad match, or because someone killed them doing something they didn't like (Sliding, dolphin diving, wall-hanging, whatever.) and used the review as an outlet against the game.
If you have friends to play with, co op can be a fun little time, and the Core MP is just as good as it always was. It's the same CoD that people fell in love with years ago.
A good rule of thumb is to read steam reviews like IGN reviews.
Take literally everything you read with enough grains of salt to preserve an elephant, and then drink some saline to wash it all down.
If you're interested in a game, buy it, and play it for no more than an hour and a half. Focus primarily on the game modes you will be playing the most, and ask yourself if it's scratching your personal itch.
CoD is hated on for a lot of reasons. Some legitimate, some not, but it's still bringing something that you really don't have an alternative for, and it's up to you personally to decide what you think is enjoyable.
Yeah i was just wondering what exactly happened here since its unusual for CoD to actually get downvoted, even if highly needed.
And make no mistake - I am never, in my entire life, spending another cent on any Activision stuff. Nothing, never. Done.
I can only recommend you to do the same.
MW2 was released in BETA version and obviously people paid £60 for a broken game.. so I don't think you want to pay for something that doesn't really work !?!#
Warzone 2.0 was in the same state at the start and then It's been fixed here in there.. but now the servers seems to be super bad ''lagging like hell'' + the cheaters took over the game. I've seen players that are looking thru the walls or have 100% accuracy while spraying despite the fact that the enemy is 100 - 150 m away ...
Whole gamming industry gone this way since it became mainstream entertainment, big companies cares about maximizing profits, that means quantity over quality. Make alot crappy games is safer and more profitable than doing few good games.
Yeah, but thats been the thing for 10 years or so. And still they all got good reviews and lots of sales.
Good reviews? Only good reviews are from paid "professionals". And sales comes from casual kids, they just consume it and want more so they buy almost anything.
So, doing missions in DMZ in which you don't have to interact with other players, but you still get to play and have some fun; using proximity chat we've met a few good people and had some entertaining times. But, when you get to giving people the benefit of the doubt or when they ask for help, just for them to shoot you in the back or attack you then proceed to insult you and your team or just spew general profanities... what do you call that?
Toxic? Sure. Tryhards? Absolutely, when the same people are using meta PVP gear in a PVE-primary mode. Nothing like getting screamed at because I beat someone down with a Shield after they tried to rush my guys who were quietly looting a house.
I think you may be said 'tryhard.' LOL
most people negative review because devs wont listen to good feedback. i gave like 5 already and my discussions keep getting deleted.
one being to make decoys show up as nades. because somehow our player knows the difference when he sees that thing flying behind him and go : nah thats just a decoy. but every grenade semtex has that RED warning signal.
