Pro tip: Don't buy tracer rounds.
Modifying the blueprint's ammo/mag will disable them... It's part of the, "pro tuning" part of the gun. Absolutely ridiculous.

I wasn't planning to but that is so scummy . I haven't seen a single good weapon build on the store since MW2019. So you buy a weapon with horrible attachments and once you change them what makes it unique dissapears, wow.

Pro tip: Don't buy worthless cosmetic crap in a video game with real money.
I bought the one for the chimera and p890's and I can change the class and still have the tracer, maybe its just a bug with the newer packs?

Pretty sure most of the weapons have the tracer either locked to the receiver, or the ammo variant.

its a skin for the ammo... select the correct ammo type that has the skin, and... you know the rest.

Been saying this since day 1.
Activision is nothing more than a scam now.

Was gifted 2400 points near the start of season 1. Just bought BP, got 1400 back so I made more than I spent. Decided to get the tracer pack since I had 3000 points.

Sucks they slapped a 60 round mag on the M4... I don't want that crapppp. Literally slowest ADS.

Imagine removing the tracer rounds in a gun and still expecting to have tracer rounds. :lunar2019laughingpig:

tbf in mw1 tracer rounds were attached to the blueprint receiver. So you could change literally everything and keep your tracers. There is no mention that changing mags or ammo will remove tracers anywhere.

After all of the tracer packs i have bought this season and previous. Here is what ive found.
IF there is no mag or ammo upgrade on the blueprint the tracers are tied to the receiver.
IF there is a mag or ammo upgrade then they are tied to 1 of those.
Some of the newer packs seem to be tied to the receiver but then if you change the camo you lose the tracers.
Some of them like dark chapter seem fine whatever you do to the gun but you cant save it as a custom mod because then you lose tracers.
I dunno whats going on but maybe this needs to be addressed in a post somewhere and have the tracers tied to the receiver all around.

Imagine defending the devs in this case when MW 2019 didn't work like this and tracer rounds were attached to the blue print as a whole and didn't force you to use whatever mag/ammo type they give you. :gachiclown:

Pretty sure it wasn't like that in Cold War or Vanguard as well. -But yeah, let's try to roast the player for thinking it was the same as the past 3 games instead of the devs who changed something that didn't need changing. I LOVE being forced to use 60 round mags with slow ADS to get the most out of the TWENTY-FOUR dollar bundle I got.

It is tied to the 60 round mag specifically for the purple one. Which is AWFUL 'cuz it is very slow ADS. I already have an insanely good M4 build and changing it all up to work around the slow ads 60 round will most likely have me sacrificing a LOT of recoil which isn't what I want.
