For some reason a LOT of people are getting into trouble by breaking the rules on CDL.

first off, IT DOES NOT ALLOW MNK. IT IS CONTROLLERS ONLY!

and here is a direct quote from that website explaining the very simple rule:

"Players are required to use controllers. Mouse and keyboard peripherals will not be allowed."

let me explain something else: COD Challengers, changed its title to COD Ranked.

that's literally all that happened, so those saying that these are the rules for just CDL and Challengers, understand that challengers is literally what they called ranked.

you are not supposed to be playing ranked modes with mnk, you are only supposed to use league certified controllers.

no turbo shock.

just regular controllers with aim assist.

CDL is for controllers only, i don't know why i have to be the one to read the rules to you guys but apparently i do.

to clarify because some people are obviously incapable of understanding something as simple as this:

ranked uses CDL rules, CDL rules prohibit mnk, which means ranked prohibits mnk.

it's really not that hard people, if you're disagreeing with these FACTS then im severely worried about you.

as for anyone still in denial about it, this is from cods own website talking about the ranked mode being added to the game:

Ranked Play is the official competitive 4v4 Multiplayer experience for Modern Warfare® II, using the official rules, restrictions, maps, and modes from the Call of Duty League, which can be read here. Whenever the Call of Duty League rules are updated, expect changes to the Ranked Play rules to follow suit."

im not disagreeing, just stating the rules.

i've said multiple times i think there should be two leagues, one for pc and one for console.

but i've also stated the reason why that won't happen, they only want one league.

the entire point is to prove who is the best in the world and to use a singular RANKING system to determine who is the best.

so either force console players to get mnk and make it mnk only, or do what they did and make it controllers only and prohibit mnk.

like it literally says in their post about adding ranked to season 2 that it will use the official CDL rules.

at this point you guys are arguing that it's not using CDL rules, yet it does.

it literally says it in the game, on the different tabs you select for game modes, and on their website.

it also clarifies on their website that ranked is part of the challengers competition, (which is what the rules are for,) and that it is the official tournament mode of mw2.

but yeah, go play it and think you're sticking it to the man with mnk.

it's a joke at this point that so many people are in denial.

The fact that you say disabilities don't affect your aim makes your comment false and no not all people using aim assist cheat. Some quite literally can't aim properly do to disabilities and need aim assist. Only the people abusing aim assist for it's strength are cheating Some people don't even bother changing all of there settings and if you consider them cheaters for not knowing about the aim assist settings then you clearly are 100% delusional and need some help.

lol, just played 3 matches of ranked myself, 2 with a MnK, 1 with a controller albeit i suck with it, i got no issues whatsoever regarding selected input devices to play, it running just fine, no warning no nothing. last crash i had is when i'm checking on store bundle but that's 2 days ago before trying ranked mode. maybe i'm just lucky, maybe there's no suspicious 3rd party software or bloatware running on the background, or maybe i don't use crappy drivers on my PC, all things considered, it went smoothly technically and here i am enjoying the game

i've read the CDL challengers tournament rulebook for 2023 regarding of input devices thoroughly, and the controller only input devices rules only applies to challengers event and the participant, that's that, nothing more. if the ranked play disables MnK or ban MnK users and only allowed controller in the match it'll be a news in youtube, twitter, and reddit. Infinity Ward and Treyarch would be sending out an statement to clarify the issue, their Trello board [trello.com] would red flagged the issues immediately, but there's nothing listed on the board about MnK issues

and again, ranked play is not challengers, ranked is ranked, challengers is challengers, it falls on the same name, same category of competitives scene, the differences are challengers is a big event tournaments, entered and signed by official teams with a members that had been selected before, also a much-much bigger incentives with money prize pool rather than what we have in ranked play. sure thing it uses the same ruleset, the same SR system, but for ranked play it's just for the sake of simplicity, streamlining, and ease of maintain on the system

Pitty has no idea what changing your mind actually means it is a normal thing people do and i have never changed my mind once in the steam discussions yes i did say not everyone abuses aim assist that is true and yes i did say i never experienced the aim assist being strong months ago that was true until a month ago when my whole team kept on dying over and over again even on re spawn and could not get kills at all and if you actually read my profile info it quit literally is a paragraph all most 2 it says that not all disabilities affect people in different ways and some people know when they are being affected by them and some even know how to control them i told people my life story many times i know how to control my disabilities and they affect me right now my disabilities are not affecting me i have no headache. Any comment you say about me changing my mind when i did no such thing would be false. You can't say someone experienced something and did not experience the said thing before as them changing there mind you clearly need help Pitty.

The op put a link to the cod mobile rank page as well am i disagreeing with the fact keyboard and mouse are not allowed in tournaments no because it is true but they never stated the controls for ranked in mw2 but to honest they should have to avoid the confusion but when the op start putting links to other rank mode to game made my different people the rank mode in cod mobile is made by mobile company and uses different rules that makes me even more confused and i am sure it makes others confused the only reason why i said it was in the rules is because it is for tournaments they never said the controls to ranked in mw2 i also said it so the keyboard and mouse players stay safe encase that rule was a part of ranked because they never stated if it was or not. Also pitty is delusional that is a fact and i don't think the op was trying to confuse us or misinform us i think he was just trying to make sure we stay safe encase that rule was in ranked and no the op is not another account i use i only have one account i made this account 7 years ago and i am not a troll helping people is in my dna which is why i said that rule is in the rule book i never said that they used that rule in ranked i just said that it was a rule i found i was confused about it but now i am just more confused.

No you are not right and i don't use aim assist anymore. Nope i am defending others who have disabilities who literally can not aim which that means they are using the aim assist for the right reasons thus they are not cheating and the fact you can not read even proves my point even more. then the gamemode shouldn't be have been shipped, or the rules changed for this game.
