New CoD in 2023?
Are they really going to backtrack and make a new cod this year instead of making an "expansion" for this game?

If this is true it really just makes this game feel kinda pointless like every CoD before it. I thought maybe this time they actually wanted to keep their game "alive."

They're not backtracking, it was all speculation. Activision never said they're abandoning the yearly COD release model.

The COD franchise may be finished.

If IW has there hands in it I wont be buying when they focus so much on the free to play ♥♥♥♥. Why waste my hundred dollars on a broken and cheat ridden game. I know it you know it your mom knows the next CoD will be just as full of cheaters. Hope they redo there anti cheat cause you know what it ain't cutting it chief.
Even EA is doing with the football games copy paste all the time

Only upside is I get to see zombies but then again that game mode has been garbage/mediocre since Bo3.

There is no winning ever, CoD get back on Steam and the possibility of a 2 year cycle. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't release the next game on Steam.

Activision Blizzard is the worst gaming company

There is no backtracking here. I tried my best for about a week to educate people spreading that false rumor but one man can only do so much.

IW will support this COD into next year because it's theirs. A new COD will from from another Dev Team (is it 3arch this year?) same time next year.

This was known like 48 hours after the "No COD next year" troll meme was started, but the damage was done. People source nothing these days.

It's common sense, new COD generates billions, any expansion won't make such money, end of story.
Youtubers need something to talk about in those 10+ minutes videos they upload daily.
Also every* COD since MW2019 has 2 year support, in year 2 they add couple of maps and guns.

*Vanguard might be exception, game felt abandoned during its first year.

I mean real support for MW19 was dumped after Warzone every bit of content after was just an obligation. Also didn't help that Warzone killed that game in general.
You can blame Top Streamers for the death of Cod who wanted a battle royal in cod, now they want it in halo medal of honor and such, enough with battle royal if you want battle royal go play fornite, Activison please enough with the yearly of cod fix MW 2 fix the game stop listing to streamers couragejd for example and fix the bloody game thank you have a nice day.

COD isn't dead.. it just sucks. Even if it was the last Microsoft is in process of buying the IP essentially.

They would reboot or continue it guaranteed.

Microsoft may kill Cod fully just like what they are doing to halo.

Ok but you missed the point. Hes saying this one killed cod.
Well maybe if they stop hanging around dum stop streamers and stop being dummies and start using 100 percent of their brains maybe the online part wouldn't be so darn terrible.
