Erruhmm.... What? You sure about that?
Look i think you're mistaken, let me tell you about my friends and I. We're a group of friends that have been playing FPS's for the past, what... 20 years or so, before STEAM existed...
DMZ is extremely fun with friends. None of us have bought the game, we play the Free version and that's it.
Thing with DMZ is that some runs are super fun, some others you get great kills, others you get your asses handed to you, others seem to be great only to get rekked on exfil by some camping dude haha its just part of the game my dude. You dont lose XP, you dont loose your guns per-se, its just a timer and nothing major. We keep some good guns on black-market and try again.
The most fun games we ever had involved making allies and adding randoms to the team, man, those have been so good.
I get it, and I don't get mad just because we lose. I usually play with one or both of my brothers, we've been playing shooters since shareware Wolfenstein and Goldeneye64. Sometimes you get out played, sometimes the other players out-think you, sometimes they out-maneuver you. Sometimes you bumble headlong right into the crosshairs from bad luck and no real fault of your own. Almost all of that can be a learning experience or at least narrow it down to a bad play or bad decision. I tip my hat when that happens.
But it boils my piss when the loss feels cheap because someone is on a skyscraper 500 meters away and single hit downs you in a full speed vehicle right through 3 plate armor - and then the kill cam aim assist looks like an aim bot (and I'm pretty sure there's a heavy dose of "skill based damage" that either buffs their damage or nerfs my ability to take damage too). Can't throw smoke because they have the thermal either. Feels like the sniper campers aren't really even playing the game mode and have the singular purpose to camp and kill players. They aren't running missions on top of the sky scraper with that loadout, they aren't working on the quests. Just camping to piss on other people. Or they have the exfil locations memorized and know exactly which direction the tailgate of the chopper is going to face so they can camp that to be able to see in.
Now we avoid these cheap players 90% of the time now by staying out of cities where we can at least stand a chance to cover and move because the sniper is on the roof of a 2 story building. Just strikes me as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ way to play. I might just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate snipers in DMZ because they're exclusively the ones doing this stuff.
#1 Waste of time posting that here, this ain't IW forums.
#2 They don't give a F! nor listen to the community.
true, but that does not garantie a PvP free zone =D
*equips shotgun and smg to run around every map*
I find it very humorous people think Cod nowadays takes any sort of skill. DMZ takes by far way more skill as you have to be tactical or youll get shot by every direction lol.
true, BUT oh so satify when you kill a group of 6 all by your selfs =D
