RTSS Rivaturner with MW2 & WZ2
Hello, i have a rather unpleasant experience in game even after a reformat and a complete reinstallation of Windows as well as drivers, the only thing that makes my game fluid is RTSS, except that it runs in the background once it is is captured at 120 fps.
No risk of using this software in the background? i've heard of people getting banned when the game launches so i wanted to ask.

Thanks take care

Never ever got banned for using RTSS. I'm using it more than 2 years already in many multiplayer games, everything is fine. But I disabled all overlays (RTSS too) for WZ cuz of random crashes.

i believe it is perfectly safe to use since i'm using riva tuner to fix my terrible stuttering since day one, i've already tried EVERYTHING (from configs in nvidia control panel options) to every single possible config in-game and the only thing that makes my RTX 3070 and i7 9700KF play the game in ANY resolution at 60fps WITHOUT always stuttering 3-4 frames above and below 60fps is USING RTSS!

I had same issue. Disabling streaming textures, all overlays (discord, steam, geforce experience, rtss), setting vram usage to 75, scaling to fidelity fx (77% sharpness) fixed it for me. Also you can change RendererWorkerCount:0.0 parameter in options.3.cod22.cst file (which located in user\Documents\Call of Duty\players folder) to half of your CPU threads number.

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it !

Indeed RTSS is really effective, many people complain about games just seem so choppy and not smooth, lot's of stuttering and more, like me, really give it a try.

I've been using this for three days and i haven't lost a single frame, the game is extremely fluid, the problem is that it's always running in the background.

I'm going to find out how to better configure Rivatuner RTSS but apparently it's safe so there you go.

(PrayStation how do you remove the overlays for RTSS? If in doubt I'll look on the net)

Same Zaxxon RTX 3090 Ti and i9-12900k here I can run the latest games over 150 fps with no problem but MW2 is another story.

Good thanks guys

It's still amazing to have to change all your tweaker settings and install new programs to be able to run a specific game properly.

Added game .exe to RTSS and unchecked "On-Screen display support" option. I'm not using RTSS to limit fps anymore, because it adds some input lag.
