God I want a G36c

While I understand why the G3 platform is in the game - its relationship to the iconic MP5 - and I enjoy using the assault rifle derivative a great deal, the point still remains: the G3 was a 1960s rifle. And, unlike, say, the AK-47 or the M21, there haven't been modern 're-envisioning' of these guns - they have been flat-out replaced. And one of the guns that replaced them was, you guessed it, the G36.

I'm not opposed to having older guns in this game. Hell, at some point, I'd love to see a k98k, or a Mosin-Nagant. All I am saying is: older ordinance shouldn't be given exclusive billing over newer guns THAT REPLACED THEM. Not to mention that the G36 has been in almost all other Modern Warfare games.

I just really find myself missing battle and assault rifles like the FN2000, the FAL, L86/SA80, etc. Older guns are great. Older guns shouldn't knock out newer guns in a contemporary setting.
