FINALLY Found the best fix to stop the crashing & Steam Disconnect!
First of all, verify your game files and most will get 38 files valid or missing and will be added. Once you do that, most importantly do the following below.

In your Windows search bar type:

Firewall & Network Protection
Allow an App Through Firewall
Then click "Change Settings"
Allow Another App
Browse

Browse to your COD folder and then add the following applications/Exe files:

Bootstrapper
Bootstrappercrashhandler
cod
codcrashhandler
codinstalcleaner
reportcodbug

Make sure all these files are selected to both public and private. Now you will have no crashes at all!! Taken me 300 hours to fix this issue.

I am running:

Windows 11 pro
RTX 3080
I7 12700k
32GB ram

Previous to the last 3 days, I was getting crashes or Steam Disconnect several times a day. Touch wood, I have had no crashes for 3 days now. It seems to work. You need to add the files separately via Firewall after you verify them

Was plagued by Steam Disconnect. Tried everything. Only thing that have seemed to work now is turning off Game overlay in Discord. Played three or four rounds of DMZ. Worked like a charm. Another tip that might work.

I don't have Discord on the PC so that wouldnt be the issue with me. The Firewall settings above have proved to be the only thing that works for me. And it definitely has worked. I haven't seen this solution of allowing specific files through the virus firewall yet

UPD: Damn it, error came back

Saved our bacon mate!

It's important to disable Discord overlay as well. Thank you!

Nothing works...tried everything in this discussion, no overlays, every driver up to date, everything related added to the firewall, still steam crash... Triple AAA.....
doubt it will work, but i'll give it a try anyway

I linked my activision account to battlenet and installed the game from their platform. No more steamcrashes and no game crashes yet.

I found my fix, I hope it works for someone as well. I had a feeling that it was Ricochet just closing my game because something that I am completely unaware of is triggering it so I went to System Configuration, Services tab, then checked the box Hide all Microsoft Services, and then clicked Disable All, Apply, OK, and let it restart my pc. Now I've got into COD HQ from Steam and got to preload all the shaders AND got into the BO 6 game with no issues at all. Now I just have to go back and slowly turn on all disabled services 1 at a time to see whats causing the crashes.
Edit: after painstakingly turning on a service at a time and restarting and starting COD HQ then BO 6 I FINALLY found my issue. Spybot Anti-Beacon Interceptor service was triggering Ricochet Anti Cheat. I had shut down Spybot anti beacon many times before thinking it might be the reason but I learned tonight that if you let this service run on startup it doesnt matter if you kill the app or the process in task manager, Ricochet will still shut the game down. So, if you arent having errors in your bootstrapper log or crash report and your game is just going straight to desktop after a random bit of time then you might have some anti telemetry prog thats pissing off the anti cheat. OP might want to edit this post and add that in. Hope this helps.
