Medium and large backpacks in DMZ

I extract with a large or medium backpack. I see it in my load out screen before I start a new DMZ match. When I get into the game, I have a small backpack again. All of my other extractable items are still in my inventory (Self revive, revive pistol, killstreaks, armor vests). The backpack does not follow any more. Is anyone else having this problem. It is really bad if I go in with a third weapon stowed in the pack. I lose the weapon when the pack defaults back to the small one.

Go in quick with nothing, kill yourself, then try to re-gear after the death and see if that resets it.

If I do that then I lose my self revive, weapon, and kill streaks.

None of the gear matters... in 1 run you'll be fully equipped again
