False Ban

I'm sure some will jump to conclusions, and other will want to troll. But I'm hoping for a genuine discussion - and hopefully some help.

I got (presumably) shadow banned yesterday (200+ pings, huge matchmaking times), and then perma-banned whilst playing today. CASERMA RHINO(?) whatever that means.

Categorically I can say I do not - and have never cheated. You can check my VAC history for 13++ years on steam. All clean. 3000+ games of WZ1 and my stats were nothing special at <1.6 K:D; my multiplayer stats in MW2 are <1 K:D.

In what universe does this point to cheating? I don't modify files, nothing weird is running on my PC, and i've never tried to DL or use cheats.

I've submitted a ban appeal, but i'm guessing it's automated. Has anyone got suggestions on how to properly look into this? I paid for the vault edition of the game.. not real happy about getting banned in ~120 hours.

That's really sad, considering how many people were recently banned without a reason, you'd expect them to realise that something is not right :/

Logitech g hub enables Macro's an scripts, witch seemingly got overlooked in warzone1.

I wonder if people are getting wrongfully banned by using aim assist. If you look at people who are using controllers + aim assist, to a regular player it looks like they are using aim bots, I wonder if Activision staff who checks shadow banned people to see if they are cheating is mistaking aim assist for aim bots.

ghub doesnt trigger the ban... imagine how many ppl using ghub bro? but ofc if you use ghub with recoil macro in it, don't come here crying about getting banned

Would be funny, and in that case I hope the bans stay, controller is for nubs
They can alternatively allow for kbm/controller players to disable playing with any other input system (at risk of long load times for keyboard users)

I got shadow banned as well and sadly enough it hit me at a very bad point in my life, I know steam forums are not the place to cry about this sort of thing sry, I tried playing a match today to let off some steam and greeted with >200 ping afterwards, 1.16kd with antidepressants that make me sluggish

I caught mine by verifying files like the game asked me to after a crash. As far as I know there isn't a 100% agreed upon cause, but seems like most of the bans handed out under that flag get reversed; mine included. The ban appeal is automated, and you will get denied; mine was reversed a week or 2 afterward.

Thats nonsense. I verified my files multiple times and still no ban.

I haven't. Is it that hard to believe that an automated anti-cheat is picking up false positives? We're talking about Activision who consistently introduce game-breaking bugs in their game. Is it beyond the realms of your comprehension that maybe they screw up their anti-cheat as well?

It's clear from the posts in here and on other websites that there are false bans. I'm sure that there is a percentage of those that are also actual cheaters trying to get their accounts unbanned.

There is a tonne of speculation as to what could cause it. I have GHub, but no macros. I have overwolf but no addins for WZ. I have HOTAS x52 for flight sim which does button mapping. Outside of those three things - which are pretty freakin' common, there is nothing unusual about my PC.

If the Ban is a false positive you get unbanned if not you cheated and the Ban will be perm.

Also you wont get banned for using ghub or Razer Synapse thats bs stop spreading wrong Infos.
