EVERYONE is CHEATING in COD.
Everyone cheats in COD. That's what I think. Well... not me and probably not many of you guys. So Kudos to you. Well done for actually having integrity and respect for yourself and others. The thing is if you're up against a controller player, the likelihood of them using cheats is far greater than if you're up against a KB&M player. Usually if a KB&M player is using cheats then you definitely f ucking know about it.

Now, how many people don't cheat because they don't know how? Probably a lot. We see how eager most of the community is to abuse XP glitches and such so my guess is given the chance a lot of players would cheat and probably do.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to learn if up to 50% of players cheated in some way on COD. Cronus. XIM. ReWASD. "Hacks". Scripts. Macros. The list goes on.

How many scumbags use Cronus? Hundreds of thousands, how many use XIM, hundreds of thousands. How many use other undetectable "hacks", Macros etc. Hundreds of thousanda of players are using these "soft hacks" to gain a massively unfair advantage and the guys over at COD HQ are literally doing nothing about it.

I'm pretty sure everyone using those cheat methods do not get banned. The focus is entirely on PC "hackers" who use walls and aim-bots and they can't even control those people.

It's really f ucking sad to know this and to know that nobody really gives a s hit about it. The company isn't doing anything about it and most players you speak to are probably using said cheats or don't see an issue with it or people are just oblivious to it.

If you hack, then you're scum.

I tried running with rewasd just to see how it was. I was not going to pay and also spend tons of time getting it working just to have aim assist (I only tried in testing range and it was really finicky). So I tried controller yet again on standard aim assist this time, everything else default. I was getting stupid kills on people that were sprinting or through smoke. You don't even need cheats with a controller, you can kill people that literally can not see you. You can automatically track enemies that are moving, which is kind of the whole point of moving in a gunfight, to throw the enemy off. Except you can't because controller will track that as long as you don't excessively fight the right stick.

And what would otherwise be an amazing game and experience, as can be experienced when there are no cheaters in game, turns into frustrating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

But I think times are changing and it's only question of time when someone will create AAA shooter and will care about the cheating. THe thing is, when CoD was created, most of the players were kids. Kids do not care about cheating that much. But times are changing and there are a lot more adults playing who can not tolerate cheaters. Here is hoping that things will change. But CoD will not be the one to make the change.
It's not that nothing is being done about it, it's that nothing can be done about it by game companies.

With PC, most cheaters will utilize some sort of established third party program commonly used for cheating, and those programs are recognized or will eventually be recognized by any respectable anti-cheat.

But with consoles, the cheats are built into hardware that is plugged in between a controller and the console. The consoles recognize these cheating devices as your controller, and they don't even attempt to counter the use of such things. Worst of all, major retail stores sell these devices.

So then, games are not at fault for this. The consoles recognize these cheats as legitimate inputs and report them as such to any given game. The companies that make consoles are at fault for allowing these devices to be utilized without any counters. And as long as people are buying this garbage, retail stores will continue to stock them.

Make no mistake, cheaters factually make the world a more horrible place. They are responsible for the deaths of entire games, and even people themselves. It is undeniable that the world would be a better place without them, and it is our duty to continue belittling them and reminding them that they are nothing more than bottom feeders.

However, as long as these console companies keep making money, they couldn't care less in regards to attempting to prevent the usage of these devices. If there's anymore more scummy than a cheater, it's the suit wearing leeches pushing these half-assed consoles onto the market to begin with.
Today I read the news that someone thought of hacking the campaign of the game through the warzone. It would seem that a hack of such a serious order should be tracked by someone, but it seems they are still playing it. There is no sensible protection in the game + a lot of bugs when you enter the DMZ with randoms and two of them stand at the store and farm half an hour with armor with 1,000,000 in your wallet. Well, what to do? I'm in the game to play, some just farm experience. It seems to me that such people have a consciousness of the "Black Friday" level, when if there is an opportunity to get something for nothing, such people will take and dry any such opportunity. As a child, cheats in games were perceived as a helping hand in an impassable episode in the game, but why is it today? You are missing out on a huge percentage of the gaming experience just by getting everything for free and a whole bunch. What is the pleasure in having everything at once?

UNPOPULAR OPINION: i actually agree. it feels like a lot of people in DMZ/Warzone are using soft wallhacks, trying to be sneaky about it.
typical COD experience after 2 weeks from launch. (It is the only enjoyable period, before the pain)

I'll assume you didn't read the post because the issue I'm raising is an ongoing one that has been present throughout COD that is only getting worse and nothing has ever been done about it.

I guess you're referring to PC script users. Yeah, they're a problem but at least they get banned. Players have been using Cronus, XIM and similar products for over a decade and still nothing is being done.

I honestly would love to know how many units they've sold, I'd guess millioms of users collectively use some sort of cheat hardware/software purely across the COD franchise.

I wouldn't say nothing can be done about it. If say, a user has sensitivity set to 20 and can only move their player in 8 directions then they're blatantly not using a controller. Instant Ban. There would also be a lot of other ways to guarantee a person is using hardware but they haven't invested any time into stopping it.

These systems have been around for over a decade. Millions of players use them. Yet the only perceived problem with cheaters are from PC who use Aimbot and Walls. Why is this?

I think it's partly down to ignorance or the fact it is hard to detect or that a lot of people are actually cheating the game in some way but pretend not to know about it. It's ok if you have an advantage but as soon as someone has a better one then "it's not fair".

The gaming industry is a joke these days. A lot of companies and players have absolutely no respect for it, or themselves, or anyone else.

You're mad because you're bad :steamhappy:
i tell you its the game it self, sometimes i suck so bad i can barely hit people and then all out of the blue i would swear i see my aim cross snap to someones head and kill him in seconds.

i don't cheat, but sometimes it feels like i em because i start to play like i feel i should not be winning, its a weird feeling and this game is the only game that gives me this feeling. i'v try to record it but every time i do i can't get that feeling, really weird. probably my insane mind tricking me into seeing stuff that there is not. ohwell i just can't shake the feeling that the game gives me a powerfull aim assist once in a while, and i'm a keyboard and mouse player.
Anyone remember the hardware cheating days on COD4, Xbox 360, J-Tags and such anyone? Saying it's a PC is kinda dumb considering how prevalent that stuff was, and I knew people that didn't go banned for a long time if ever that did that. And majority of the market is console so, more likely to have cheaters on there.

there are theories that sbmm nerfs or buffs your aim in real-time based on your kd. loads of people claim their guns start shooting marshmellows once the sbmm decides youre too "good". its possibly nothing but a theory but the tech to do this does exist.
The tech exists, they have patents, they have been proven to be greedy scumbag devs. So why wouldn't they include it in the game. I'm using the same guns in a match trying to get double kills, and at the same distances, same players, same ping and same everything, I am getting killed faster by SMG's mid match at medium/long range, and my M4 is taking longer to kill. My pistol still does fine, when I don't get instant locked on by a controller of course. So not very many chances to use that.
It aint a theory it's a conclusion.
