Again though once you get use to the flow of the maps it gets easier to start doing better. I also recommend playing with friends who also care to win (without being toxic with it ofc.

first 10 seconds shows horizontal assist. Most controller players will sit there ADS and strafe back and forth allowing it to just jump lock to targets for easy kills. It normally obvious to see these people since they have terrible crosshair placement but push 1 button to win most fights.
In Halo, everyone is placed in a match with similar skill. In CoD they just plop everyone in together. Both systems have merits.
You can definitely improve your stats in this game if you focus at it. There's going to be lobbies where they stack the deck against you badly but in my experience it's a rare occasion and when it happens I just leave to avoid the frustration of playing with five bots against a full stack on the other team rotating early and uav spamming.
This is CoD so not like I expect people to care about the objective, just kinda silly when they're in a corner with dual snake shot/iron sight snipers 80m from the site.
To me the game is waaaaay more fun when its a cluster ♥♥♥♥ of players trying to take a point or fight in close proximity against each other, as opposed to spawning running 2 seconds and then getting aim-botted by a console kid with a iron sight sawed off sniper rifle lmao
It 100% possible, on the higher end of the scale where people are using tweaked settings that perfectly match their playstyle, its very common to see people using battle rifles and just 2 tapping head back to back. I have seen someone on controller go 53 - 3 only dying to grenades, end every kill was a headshot. When tweaked right the aim assist looks exactly like an aimbot, speaking from experience since im banned on CSGO for a reason. To be fair, I report these people since its almost impossible to tell. But yes, the aim assist has been ramped up to a point that its rare to see mediocre controller players which is a heavy portion of the playerbase. M&K players are typically outmatched.
If you are on m+k'd (like I am) you basically have to play at the top of your game to match bad controller players with the aimbot, sorry, aim assist correctly set up.
Vs a good player with a corectly setup controller, you'd better be a top tier player to even stay positive.
That or camp / ignore objectives, use all the cheese and crutches like a lil female dog lol.
If you wish to use anything but the top guns ir stuff you are good with, which, to get unlocks, you need to, just don't look at your k:d and try to have fun.
1. Find a weapon you enjoy that fits "your" play-style. Different weapons fit different users play-style, such as aggressive, passive, camping etc. ; Do they have shield abusers? OK put on the maltov or RPG set. Then blast your way out.
2. Just play and learn the maps. You will never improve if you do not just play maps and get a general understanding of choke points and where your typical player will go. Most people when in game will do the same thing over and over. So once you are in a lobby watch to see where certain players hide and you can expect them there time after time.
3. Set the filter to modes you enjoy, I really only enjoy obj based game play so I never play TDM as example.
4. Learn how to outsmart people in game by watching the mini map, using sound, and again just knowing the general layout of the map. An example is using claymores, when you spawn, drop one at a door and run the opposite way, never go the way you placed the claymore. You will get kills and those count towards KS rewards.
5. Set up keybinds that are comfortable to you. This is one of the biggest quality of life improvements is having button config that makes your play-style seamless. I use a naga and having that mapped is amazing more so than even using the controller to me. I don't care about aim assist when I can fly through a map and shoot people because they can hardly turn to hit me.
6. Just play. If you are a functional adult with a brain you will improve, but you have to be willing to understand you are not the GOD gamer you might think you are. You can sometimes find tp/trick videos on youtube that are helpful or watch a good streamer like the Doc or Lupo I would recommend not tryin gto learn from people like XqC who base their play-style on being borderline mentally ill. (To each their own) Play aggressive at first, run around and attempt to kill everyone and see what fits. You will start to figure out what works and what doesn't.
7. When you find a kit you like then just run it and have fun and tweak it from there. Play and do what you have fun with and don't feel the need to cater to anyone. Good luck.
