Error Code: 0x887A0005 (0x887A0006) (6068) D
Hello Warzone 2 Community,

as I have now read on all major platforms, the error "0x887A0005 (0x887A0006) (6068) D" is a major widespread phenomenon. I myself am also affected by it.
I just wanted to check with you if you have found a fix for it?
A similar error already occurred with Elden Ring and WWE 2K22, there it helped to move the files "dxgi.dll" and "d3d12.dll" into the directory of the respective games. However, this did not help with Warzone 2, where you get the error code 0x887A0004 directly at startup.

What I have also already tried:

Driver Updated & Downgraded
Registry changed (TDRLevel)
All different modes (Window, Exclusive Fullscreen, Frameless Window)
Settings to lowest settings / medium settings
Anti-Aliasing off
Shader streaming off

If you can think of anything else to solve this problem, I would be very happy if you share it here. Thank you.

Same here... Latest NVIDIA drivers, new high-end pc... Also tried to redownload the whole game with no success. Only restarting shaders optimization seems to help... but only for a while. This game it's completely bugged!

I am at my wits end with this error. I verified the file integrity, reinstalled the game, did driver rollback/update, EVERYTHING. File integrity through the crash handler doesn't fix anything and the Steam integrity check only tells me "38 files failed to validate and will be reacquired" yet doesn't do anything about it.

New stuff tested:

nVidia Drivers: v517, v522... same problems
Battle.net Version... same problems

I have pulled out my hair on this and finally figured it out for me. Its the razor software that even though I had it set to not start with windows it wasn't until I ended task that resolved my problem. I had tried 5 different Nvidia drivers, reinstalled on a new ssd, all drivers and bios updates, no overclocking, and finally removing software one by one until the issue went away. This is my 3rd night not one crash and the weird stutter went away as well. I was crashing every other game.

I have dlss on, last driver 86, I always get missing files when I verify, I don't do that anymore as it never helped.
I have the same problem and the most weird thing is the 90-100°c in my gpu before it crashes. I've tried changing lowest settings but it look the same. I can´t even get a refund lol
I'm tired of companys with broken games and sleepy devs who don't really cares

For me the game somehow doesn’t load if I recently restart or boot up the computer (Not from Sleep mode) unless I literally unplug my headset then plug it in when the Activision logo appears. Attempting to boot up straight away gives me an error on the splash screen. Worth noting I don’t have any razer software installed but even that solution wouldn’t work till I randomly unplugged my headset by accident and was stunned when i actually loaded. Could likely be a razer or audio software problem preventing startup, at least thats my problem narrowed down.

I moved the game from a regular ssd 2.5 to ssd m2 and the error disappeared. Maybe it will help someone.
