Why can I hear myself through my headset?

Everytime I start up the game it begins. I can hear everything I'm doing, not just talking through my headphones on a slight delay. Because of this it makes the game terrible to listen to. Pretty much unplayable because of this. I've checked and its nothing with my computer settings or my headphones.

There is a game setting in the audio section. called microphone test, check if it is turned off.

becouse you play with open mic. so much open mic players its terrible. first thing i do is mute them.

that was one of the first things I checked and that is not it.

there is the setting checkbox "listen to this device" which may be active

thank you, but this was the 2nd thing I tried. That was not the anser either. Now trying the game using my airpods

I had this problem too for as long as I can remember in COD MW2, tried everything and still going on.
