All DX12 games (and some DX11 games, such as God of War) use a little something called Independent Flip, which makes it so that borderless window performs just as efficiently as exclusive fullscreen. (and is just as compatible with VRR as exclusive fullscreen is)
Sides, there's really no such thing as exclusive fullscreen in DX12. The option labeled "exclusive fullscreen" is more or less just something that tricks Windows into thinking it's exclusive fullscreen. So unless you wanted your game's refresh rate to be different than your display's, there's literally no reason to use "exclusive fullscreen" in ANY DX12 game.
I'm still experiencing this, would you mind enlightening me?
