I have been using it since my elite broke and it's great
I have the original Elite but with the scuff paddle replacements. Although thats mainly for sp games. i use mkb for this.
This.
You can thankfully remap controller as well this time, use RB to crouch instead of the stick
With the original Elite the scuff paddles are repositioned so that the buttons are above the bottom of the controller not the grips. They're not comaptible with Elite 2.

You should try an actual scuff controller. The paddles are in a much better position and much harder to accidentally press. I don't know how anyone can use the those Elite controllers.
It's just the Elite 1 scuff paddles that are repositioned.
The strafing speed is quite slow. Jumping around corners can be safer.
