Edit: I've managed to solve it, if those who can link their Steam account to their Activision account. You want to go to Activision.com, and then register/sign in, and then go to your profile on the top right. Go to basic info, and change your Activision ID. Changing this seemingly seemed to fix my issue as I can now access the game and it's contents. Best of luck to those who still have this issue.

Yesterday, I got the same problem, and
I found solution to rename display name for my fresh account.

1. Going to Activision website and login your account that has problem with rename token
2. Unlink between Activision account and steam account.
3. Going to your steam profile and rename.
4. Launch CoD warzone and relogin. The game will link to your steam account again with new current steam display name.
5. done.

I got the same problem, I never have Activision account, how to login and unlink?

In my case, I never have Activision account, but I got rename token problem.
1. Create Activision account and link to Steam.
2. Open game one, got to where it bug.
3. Do follow EcchiNeko above in a loop, try over and over. In my case, I try 4 time yesterday, and this morning just work.

it actually works but you have to go to the activision website and change your name there. It forces you to give your full real name and location though, its coded to just say "error no rename token" but thats bs they just want your information ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
