38 files failed to validate.

Every time I verify files it says 38 files to validate. My game has crashed before main menu every single time and I've verified about nine times now always getting the same result. I've even verified twice in a row before booting a game and I still get the same result. Could use some help.

If you disable Discord Overlay It fixes the crashing for me and some friends.

shutdown apps with overlay, discord and evga precision osd seemed to help

Shutdown everything except for steam on my computer and it didn't work. I am having the same issue. The installed game when launched it opens the anti cheat and halfway through loading it and crashes. Verifying files finds 38 missing files, when verifying twice in a row it still finds 38 files missing. My hypothesis is that after some update something, whenever a new player installs the game we are always missing 38 important files needed to launch. Hopefully, they bring out an update fixing this.

i have the same issues like this before is said missing 33 files . i was try to fix with many solution on internet but nothing work . then i unistall this game then re-download it on the othêr storage ( before is D then is C ) is work but not for a long time . yesterday just before they annouce wz2 update can be preload i having this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ issues again but this time is missing 38 files . try the old solution ( change storage but is not working any more )

RX6900XT ( with latest driver i hear that the game have something wrong with newest nvidia driver but not amd )

Never validate unless the game literally wont run at all. Crashes happen, but validating takes time and can corrupt the files. I have crashed a few times but never validate them, I just reload and it seems to work for awhile.

this got u a freêze?? something wrong with ur window i guess . i have same issues but is just crash like i never press the play button
