** FIX FOR MW2 NOT LAUNCHING **

If you've been having issues launching the game for the past couple of weeks, I have found the solution for all of us eager.

First you need to go to Steam, right click on COD MW2 application > Manage > Browse Local Files > go to the COD application and right click > properties > Security > under "ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES" and "ALL RESTRICTED PACKAGES" allow full control > Click Apply and OK. Close Steam and reopen.

You should be able to launch and play MW2 after this.

FYI --- If this doesn't work, I forgot to add that I had an overclocked XMP profile in my. SO you may want to go into your bios and disable.

there isn't a Security tab in the properties menu for the application, am i missing something? a windows setting maybe?

You may wanna try updating to the latest Windows 21H2 for windows 10 or Windows 22H2 for windows 11. Before those updates I don’t think it gave me those options either.

Every application in windows has a security tab. Is your account set as an admin account?
