Literally can't hear footsteps wtf is going on?

There has to be a bug or something I dont hear a single step then when I die all I hear is THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP from the enemy I check the kill cam and they dont have dead silence on and it just is constantly happening and is super inconsistent sometimes I hear the steps and others I dont weird thing is I HEAR them sometimes when the enemy has silence on

same it is practically impossible to consistently play good in some game modes like hardpoint where players spawn in every angle of the map and can push you from every angle, i've tried every setting and i genuinely cannot hear footsteps even if i tried to block out every other side. i'm constantly playing a guessing game wtf is going on.

Jokes aside, I have zero issues whatsoever. Use Soundblaster X3 and sennheiser headset.

Console players can hear foot steps loud and clear, if it is a pc thing this needs to be addressed immediately, forced into crossplay with Aim assist sweats and they can sound ♥♥♥♥♥ me whereas i have to play as if i'm deaf playing the guessing game on every corner.

yeah i barely can hear footsteps from a distance even when they somehow sprinting. Sprinting always has louder footsteps in all COD games but here its like the same as not sprinting but a bit louder.

I figured that turning on mono and the meter to 0 boost the footstep thump sound. idk why but firefights are now whoever sprints would get killed

If you're on a headset on pc try putting your in game audio settings "audio mix" setting to home theatre. footsteps got louder for me after doing this.

hyperx cloud alpha s, 7.1 ss no problems with other games, this game tho footsteps, guns and explosions some times don't make a sound or are muffled, kill cam can show the gun sprint jumping on objects shooting away at other ppl, all i hear is one shot and footsteps as i die, 0% chance to react.

I genuinely don't think it has anything to do with Headsets or Audio mix, i'm convinced its a bug maybe a driver bug or an internal bug with the game who knows but it cannot be a hardware issue, most of my friends play on console and even some of them say its non-existent while others say it's too loud.
