I started playing on controller last night to try it for myself. felt like I was hitting the wall on mouse and keyboard. I followed some youtube guides to get my controller and aim assist tuned right. After about 5 games, I am absolutely top fragging my lobbies on controller, with almost no prior experience on controller. I get kills that make my jaw drop as the kind of stuff you can do with a controller is straight up inhuman. Once I'm on target I don't miss a bulletI

In the early games there were so many mouse and keyboard players in my lobby that i absolutely destroyed. I honestly felt bad for them. Now that i have gone up the SBMM tier, every person in the lobby is on controller. The only mouse and keyboard players in those lobbies are cheatinng with reWASD or a XIM.

so yes, every single person on mouse and keyboard that wants to play this game competitively needs to make the switch now IMO. Its only going to get worse with warzone 2 and the TTK increase.

KB&M is very valuable and you can pretty much farm people on controller. So if you weren't good before switching won't help. You can try it. The real difference is you'll start dropping in SBMM and THINK the controller is working for you. When it's not.

If my controller buddies play they get put in some low level lobbies. If I join with KB&M I'll slaughter the whole lobby. If he join me in my lobby as a KB&M player with his controller he'll get absolutely slaughtered.

So it just really depends on where you stack up. If your in low level lobbies a controller might help. If your in high level lobbies your just gonna get slaughtered even if you switch.

If you want. I use controller on PC. Aim assist feels the same as every other CoD to me. I’m a good player and I still miss a ton of shots and have no auto aim tracking or snapping. I’m not convinced by the aim bot argument.

Then you are not in anything like high level lobbies where people know how to set up their auto sim, I mean, assist, the better you get, the worse the controllers are.

Cause they are tarded they think the controller does the work. It doesn't if your a bot before the controller you'll be a bot after. Only certain weapons like some of the marksmen/snipers/shotguns will help while using a controller cause they only need body shots most of the time. Everything still requires aim and the further away someone is the worse that aim will be.

You have to tweak some settings to get the aim assist to work right, so definately look up a youtube guide or something.

the stuff i remember off the top of my head is:
aim response curve type: dynamic
Aim assist type: black ops
deadzones : set as low as possible, will get more assist if you allow a little bit of stick drift
100 fov
6-8 sensitivity

edit: also always have input on the left stick in some capacity to activate rotational aim assist. play this game like you would play doom!

How do you know they are not using Zen? A lot of these youtubers use cronus and you're watching their videos thinking they are good.

There is definately a lot of controller modding going on, but thats only helpful to bad player imo

I don't think they are good, there's videos showing how crazily op the aim assist is, there are pro players complaining about how over powered it is.

The only ones who think otherwise are either in denial, or so bad at the game that they do not realise that the controller players they are up against don't know how to set it up.

It's not really an aimbot in that sense. But in close fights, they will stick to you 100% of the time, vs the mouse, which even the best players will miss half the time.

I could even live with all of that, because that's not really what bugs me. It's the light wall hack portion. When I went to test it out, this was the result.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0RRNs0K9vk

It looks like a straight forward kill, but the thing here is that I'm not changing my aim. The game starts turning for me before I even come to the door. And there were enemies past another wall. That's two walls when the aim assist started to turn for me.

Basically that meant I knew there was an enemy there, even though outside of the aim assist I have no knowledge of it. I can't hear them, I can't see them, and they're not on the radar.

This type of "assist" can be heavily abused. Because now I can aim down the sights, start pre-firing, and the real aim assist will lock onto them, whereas they'll have to deal with reaction time, time to aim down sights, as well as find where I am.

The Aim Assist does not work on the PC the same as on the consoles.
