How is everyone so good?
I've played COD for years on PC and I know a lot of really good players are out there. The thing is, almost 100% of the games I'm in it feels like every enemy player has world class aim and instantly knows where I am and connects every single shot.

I mostly play TDM, domination and kill confirmed and despite this I still do pretty decent. Sometimes I even get first in matches. Is skilled based matchmaking the main reason for everyone being top tier at the game?

They cranked the SBMM to the extreme
Get more than 10 kills in a match, and I can guarantee you be matching with CDL players for the rest of the day

It's because they use the most aggressive sbmm I ever seen in any game so far. One good round and you are into tourney mode for 10 rounds in a row

Dang is the SBMM seriously that bad? I wish I could disable cross-play too
you cant compare skill when there is controller aim assist/ one or two tapping automatic weapons. i mean i have to hit 3 to 4 headshots to kill a person with an SMG and dude pulls out a random AR and kills in 3-4 body hits.. i have to do alot more target tracking requires more consistency but muh man kills me first.. META guns are ruining this game hope they balance it

edit: when i get into SBMM matches the entire lobby uses M4s or kastovs hmmmm i wonder why
edit2: also why the ♥♥♥♥ FSS hurricane requires 30 prone kills to get gold challenge

My lobbies are probably 80% controllers every round. I literally feel scammed after paying 850 NOK for a game where I play only against controllers and I can't choose which output I want to meet.
cod4 was released in 2007 we basically get same game every year
in that time it shouldn't be hard to figure out how these game work

I've been having a similar experience, when i can get the game to run anyway... i was told there was no SBMM in this game, but im gonna go out on a limb here and say that there definitely seems to be.... i wouldnt even care so much about all that if i could at least get the game to run at anything above 25 fps...

The aim assist is pretty strong this year. So it does feel often like people are better than they actually are. No you can't deactivate crossplay. You could try it out for yourself and plug in a controller though

Out of curiosity, which fps game have you played a lot? I can understand that casual players love this sbmm in every game, the protection to never need to get better in games. But for players that are above average this system is a total mess. It's actually draining, constantly need to be 110% in every game.

Whoever told you that is delusional

A real shame that you can't turn on that you play against same input as yourself. They are just pissing on the community once again. Same every CoD. Aim assist getting stronger each year. Soon it's not even necessary to aim with he right stick.

cs1.6 cod4 these would be most games played in shooters sure some pubg valorant csgo some battfieldied apex, but these days i don't have time to play these games like a lot, i do fine but nothing beyond average,

as for sbmm also i think region can be important i seen you mentioning lobbies full of controllers and i get those some times but overall max for me would be 50%

It's not sbmm, because I'm always at the bottom and I feel the same way about people being so much better at this game when I'm fine at every other fps.

What you're feeling is competing against rotational aim assist within a hundred yards when 80% of players use controllers. Search for some of the aim assist threads and watch the videos and I think you'll feel relieved when you realize it's not just you.

i feel so screwed by this game.

My Lobbys contain only disgusting sweaty camping players.
Then, i look into streamers streams and they play in lobbys with absolute bots. like 0.03k/d players. wtf is this? why can't my lobbies be like this
