battle rifle go bo bo bo bo bo bo, changing mag
AR = good all-rounders meant for smaller-to-mid distances, better handling due to their sizes, universally high RoF and relatively small recoil. Medium damage in game terms.
BR = slower RoF, smaller mag, bigger punch (both in terms of damage and recoil) alternative for mid-to-far distances firefights. Harder to control and handle due to their size.
Marksman rifles are usually BR's with sniper optics, even smaller mags, even smaller RoF, even bigger punch and even worse ergonomics; but they still offer a fast semi-auto followup.
Snipers = bolt action, highest damage weapons that should be useless up close.
