is the campaign playable offline or is it online only ?

past years the game was on b.net it was online only. wonder if its different on steam like it used to be.

It doesn't mention it on the store but judging that an internet connection is under minimum requirements I assume there's a good chance.

Crash 4 doesn't require an always-online connection on Steam even though the Battle.Net version does (and the Steam version also lists a "Broadband Internet Connection" as a requirement, for the record) and the console versions of MW 2019, BLOPSCW and Vanguard didn't have always online despite the PC version having it. So there's a chance.

That said the always online stuff is baked a bit harder into CoD than it was Crash (hence why Crash 4 got cracked almost immediately while CoD hasn't been cracked in a good while) so I wouldn't hold your breath. I'd say odds are 50/50.
