That is correct.
No idea, my controller batteries have never died mid game.
I understand your frustration, but the actual numbers that use K+M are such a small percentage of the overall playerbase that even if they did implement this (Which is why I believe they haven't) there would be not enough players to keep queues short enough to avoid frustrations.
You can't swap peripherals mid game, correct.
But you can't filter out controller players on PC, no.
Why do you think Keyboard/Mouse make up such a small percentage?
First of all is it really a small percentage? I think it is a very big percentage but I don't have any data to back that up. Do you have data on this subject? I think there will be millions of keyboard/mouse players in this game.
Secondly, if most PC players are switching to controller to play this game that's proof right there that the aim assist is an advantage they want to have when playing this game.
Thirdly, I have been watching Overwatch 2 streamers and none of them are using a controller. I could not find one yet. There is no aim assist in OW2 for PC players. Tons streamers playing Warzone are using a controller. Why the difference? Aim Assist?
Last point, this game is a highly competitive game. Look at any other competitive game on this planet outside of Esports. Do any other professional games give some kind of advantage to a certain group of players?
To me aim assist was something that needed to be implemented because controllers suck but game companies wanted to expand their player bases to make more money. Its clearly a money making thing vs a fairness thing. And fairness it out the window. Money is king.
You covered everything , well done
everytime you bring AA to the table they just get angry , they feel like they get called cheaters (and yes AA on m/k is absolutely cheating) so they defend themselves with whatever crap.
a debate btw contr and mk it like asking who is better Cr7 or Neuer (you got the point).
so an input-matchmaking (crossplay doesn't matter) will end this stupid useless arguments 😆
