Why does everything keep resetting?
Every time I open the game I am asked if I want to change settings because "Your computer seems to have changed since the last time you played." I then have to go through adjusting brightness and choosing my input/output devices. After that, if I try to do campaigns if my game hasn't crashed by then, all my progress has been reset. When I get into the campaign, all my keybinds are reset even if I had changed them right before opening campaign mode.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Why does everything get reset? How can I stop everything from being reset once the game starts?

@potassium If you have Controlled Folder Access on (it's under Virus & threat protection -> Ransomware Protection in Windows 11), then COD is prevented from writing to your My Documents directory to hold onto your save info. I recommend leaving it on but you have to select "Allow an app through Controlled Folder access" then click Recently Blocked and you should see both cod.exe and sp22-cod.exe (sp22 is the single-player I believe).

Anyway, that's what fixed it for me.

I already found a fix for it but thank you. What fixed it for me was setting up virtual memory/a paging file for another drive since I did not have MW2 installed on my main SSD.
