A possible fix for low fps and poor performance issues. Worked for me
Go to your Documents folder and look for "Call of Duty" then open the "players" folder and look for "options.3.cod22". Your going to right click on it and choose "open with" then choose "Notepad". Once your in there look for this line
"// Thread count for handling the job queue
RendererWorkerCount:0.0 = "4" // -1 to 16"
RYZEN USERS: Now, if your CPU has 16 logical processors then you want to change that the value to 8,, If you have 12 logical processors then you change the value to 6, If CPU has 8 logical processors then you change the value to 4. If it has 6 logical process then change to 4
INTEL USERS: Change your value to 4.
Save and close.
After you have done this, right click on "options.3.cod22" and go to properties and select the "Read Only " tab and apply.
This should help. If not try, updating your CPU drivers and motherboard bios.

Peek-A-Boo! Oct 29, 2022 @ 8:07am
I have a RTX3070TI FE + AMD Ryzen 5 5600x (so 12 logical processor) and still stuck at 110 ~ 120fps with the preset "EXTREME"... I've watched a few benchmark videos and most of the guys got more FPS than me ! (around 140 - 160 in Ground War)

I think honestly this game need a better optimization. I've reinstall Windows, install the v.522 NVIDIA Drivers and more but nothing change..

On MW2019 I was around ~180FPS on ULTIME..

Are you sure that manually editing gamefiles won't trigger ricochet?

Nope, everything is safe.

! UPDATE !

I found a video, I was septic but now I have min 140fps and the game is stable at ~150fps ! (but it's not a solution, I have a RTX 3070TI and I want to play the game in FULL EXTREME with 144FPS! so please Activision/Infinity Ward fix the performance!)

There is the video (make sure to copy & past every settings) : https://youtu.be/LWDWmQRogOg

I have ryzen 5 3600. By default RendererWorkerCount:0.0 was = "4". I tried 6, 12, 3, and others - nothing helped, single random stutter still there

Hope this will help you. I'm an owner of Threadripper 1920X and RTX3090. Was getting 50-60 FPS with poor graphics. After I typed RendererWorkerCount:0.0 = "6" it worked like a charm, 86 - 99 FPS at ultra settings (4K resolution), my previous number was 12 (I guess this is a number of my CPU cores). So probably you have to type a half of a number of your physical cores.

If this helps someone I'll be super happy.
So should I put "6" I have a ryzen 5 5600x

Open task manager and click on the "Performance" tab, then in the CPU section itll show you how many logical processors you have, type half of what that is.

I have a question, my CPU has 16 cores, if i put renderworkercount to 16 instead of 8, wll that cause problems? would it even be beneficial to game's performance?
