For people with AMD CPU's that get insane stutters
I've got a Ryzen 3700x with a 2080 Super GPU, and got low fps in the main menu and even worse in game. We're talking 20-40 FPS. Tried every fix that was suggested on the forums. Nothing worked. But I've found this video last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K1SFz1xeI8&lc=UgxH4ToTO4-qnhudOOZ4AaABAg
And this fixed my issue. Try it and see if it works for you.

1. Download CPU-Z
2. Start op MW2
3. On the CPU-Z tab go to bench
4. Click on "Stress CPU"

Strange, my wife have 5600x and never had any issues lol
What about u try check ur power plan and change to ultimate performance?? maybe ur cpu is being limited on power because powerplan... stressing cpu while playing is really not a good idea lol

Power plan is already in ultimate performance. And yes stressing the cpu isnt the best way. I wouldnt recommend using more then half your threads. But at least I can play now.

has there been a new update recently? I checked 2 weeks ago and it was up to date.

I wouldn't recommend it, but at least I can play until it gets fixed.
I also dont advice using all your threads for the stress test, but using like 8 threads if you have 16 etc.

it seems to be solely focussed on the 3700x, at least what I can find about this problem.

i tried it for 2 mins and it was smooth asf but I mean i dont have a good feeling in that. Yeah sure i could use just 6 threads instead of 16 for stress test but idk its too dangerous in my opinion.

try this go to the file with name Documents\Call of Duty\players\options.3.cod22.cst
Edit with notepad:

find System section

and change the
// Thread count for handling the job queue
RendererWorkerCount:0.0 = "#"
# ur cpu cores.

Thumbs up for this post! The multiplayer was literally unplayable for me and this worked using CPU-Z. I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600.

this was one of the first things I tried because this solved my fps issues in warzone.
But it no longer works for mw2 for me. What did work in the MW2 beta, was changing the affinty of cod.exe in task manager. but they locked that option :(

ooh the "i spend $1000 on my graphics card but i can only afford a AMD 6 core $250 CPU"

It's bottlenecking the performance.. get a intel or least more than 10 cores.
