Are there any successful ban appeals?
Seeing many threads and posts around bans, but am only seeing a pattern of folks complaining about getting banned, and leaving out important details i.e. previous ban history, hardware bans, or usage of other "game altering software". i'm really starting to believe that all the individuals complaining about being banned don't want to admit guilt.

i've only seen one post where one has tried to diagnose, listing potential culprits like ds4 (controller emulation). i've also seen another discussion with someone having wemod (centralized cheats/trainer application) running in the background, although it would only make sense to trigger anticheat if wemod were actively editing mw2 memory, not just running in the background.

i've also seen claims of being banned after verifying game cache, but that seems absolutely ridiculous that this would trigger anti cheat. i don't know much about anti cheat software, but getting banned for verifying game files seems like a HUGE oversight. doesn't check out to have faulty code like that.

so i really wonder if people are actually getting false positive bans... and if an appeal has been approved.

tl;dr tons of people complaining about bans, most likely cheater scrubs not wanting to admit guilt. are there any cases of people being innocent and appealing a ban?

i was never worried about buying the game and being banned.... ive never cheated in my life, all these posts, shows how many were ! and apparently if you get banned it sends a voltage surge to your machine blowing up the PSU and then after like 10 mins your PP get smaller
I played the beta, did okay in some matches and crappy in others. It was fun. Played the campaign for 2.5 hours, then logged in the next morning and was permanently banned from the Beta... How am I banned from the beta a month after it's release?? While playing campaign?! I had the game running, Steam and Discord. That's it, yet I'm banned.

Can you stop reviving threads? Now you're focused on personal attacking ME lol, that's not helping your argument and no, also doesn't prove that any of these actual cheaters are false bans.

Stop white knighting for cheaters, I shouldn't have to say it multiple times.

1. 2 hours isn't a necropost.

2. Poking a hole in your logic isn't an attack on your character.

3. When BOCW and WZ/MW2019 both have had bans reverted (silently of course, other than maybe one single post from FoxhoundFPS) you're kind of in denial if your mentality is guilty until proven innocent, unless you're very confident that someone actually would want to cheat in the campaign of all things, on a full price purchase.
No, it doesn't happen

I have wemod installed and I didn’t get banned. It wasn’t running in the background tho uninstalling that ♥♥♥♥ rn lol I don’t wanna risk it. XD
Bans are usually final. Appeals only work when/if your account was accessed by a third party, hacked, etc.

i think this Leah person is providing solid arguments and information about previous anti-cheat false positive mishaps, whereas you opened with ad hominem and resort to goalpost shifting when rebuttals are provided to you.

There was one false ban that was over turned on the Better Business Bureau's Activision first page the other day. That was definitive proof of one over turned false ban that has happened since the beta. However, that was the only one I could find and it was several days ago so it may not be on the first page anymore.
yeah i saw those too. the beta bans seem like they are legit, enforcing a more sophisticated hardware ban and preemptive action. i'm a bit more concerned about the early access bans.

i haven't seen any official statements from activision or steam, i did see another thread of an individual unlinking steam accounts and had an unban.

i am still unsure of what exactly is going on, and i am afraid of launching mw2 until a patch/statement is addressed. no history of cheating or being banned on any platform, yet still worried lol.
