Will The Ban Transfer Over?

I went out of town a month or two ago with my family to Ocean Shores for a week and came back only to find I couldn't log into my Battle.net client, short story short someone hacked/stole my account and got both banned from battle.net and game banned from modern warfare (the original obviously), I appealed my battle.net ban and the support team confirmed someone did hack/steal my account and proceeded to unban me. I'm not even gonna try to appeal my game ban as i figure Activision is a ♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to getting unbanned.

I wan't to buy Modern Warfare II to play with all my friends but I'm scared the ban will transfer over if I use the game banned battle.net account, is there public knowledge regarding whether ill get banned?

My suggestion is to not sign into that banned account again. It's hard to say exactly what information is already linked but during the beta some players with game bans on their Steam accounts were talking about ways to get around the ban. So long as you're not hardware ID (HWID) banned and you play with a new account (meaning a new email) then you might be fine.

One concern is your phone number. If the new game does require a phone number and if you give them a phone number that is tied to a banned account then that could put you at risk of being banned.

You're playing with a pretty hairy nest of things. They probably already have a record of the HWID from all machines on your account that played the previous modern warfare game. Definitely try to get help from support if you can.

It's worth pointing out I don't actually know anything and I'm just connecting the dots of what information may have been gathered.

Thanks for the helpful information, I reached out to Battle.net regarding the game ban but as they are only a host platform for the game they do not have access to unban anybody, I also just reached out to Activision and might get it unbanned because apparently the only way they unban is if your account was stolen then hacked on.

They claim I was the account holder at the time of infraction even though it was my battle.net account that was hacked and not the activision account, meaning they said this because they have no proof that my battle.net account was hacked, even though I told them to reach out to me with the need of ANY information (I made it very clear that I would provide ANY information). But ofc they wouldn't because they are a staff team of a ton of robot response giving ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

That actually sounds weird because Battle net accounts usually don't get banned unless some sus stuff happened like charge back or harassment through it. Usually only a specific game ban happens, which means let's say you are Toxic in Overwatch and get a couple days suspension or ban than it applies only to Overwatch the other games are still fine.

And like the others pointed out with CoD the "Activision" account banned means MW2k19 will apply to this game as well when you have your Steam account linked with the Activision account.

I was never toxic lol, and i also didn't ever play, especially withint a couple months of the infraction, and If i said my blizzard was banned I was mistaken, it only had the email, password, and phone number changed on august 7th, then I got banned on the game sometime after that and i found out august 26th or something idk

If i unlink the steam account from activision do you think that The ban wont transfer over?
i might as well just try it and if it doesnt work ill refund the game on steam.

I was banned too for no reason. Activision responded that it is FINAL for reasons they can not share. Im not gonna stop complaining because this is too unfair. I have NEVER cheated on a game, I have had this Steam Account for almost a decade, I have no reason to cheat, especially in a two-day open beta that doesn't even exist right now.
We have to make a joint appeal to show that it is a mistake.
