change of name

Hi,
sorry did NOT find anything about that problem.
Generally I m totally new to CoD and I can already say, it is expected that you lived in CoD world before, almost no hints; okay "invest time to try", obviously I have no choice.

My ingame name is anon3413142141234123542135412 or similar, and I can only change it with Tokens, I have no idea where to get them.
And more important why I cannot choose my name ?

I have bought the full game.

How do I change my Activision ID/Display Name?
You can change your Activision ID/Display Name with a Username change token. You'll receive a new Username change token every six months, and you can carry up to two tokens at any given time.

To change your Activision ID/Display Name in the game, head to the Activision Account screen.

Press Options on the home screen.
Go to the ACCOUNT tab and select Activision Account.
Choose CHANGE DISPLAY NAME.
Enter your desired name and choose CONFIRM.

You can also change your Activision ID/Display Name online.
Log in to your Activision account.
Select BASIC INFO.
Select EDIT next to your ACTIVISION ID.
In the ACCOUNT VERIFICATION REQUIRED pop-up, select SEND CODE.
Go to your email account to retrieve the one-time verification code.
Return to the ACCOUNT VERIFICATION REQUIRED pop-up and enter the code.
On the BASIC INFO tab and select EDIT next to your ACTIVISION ID.
Enter a new Activision ID/Display Name and select SAVE.
Enter the password for your Activision account.
Select SUBMIT.

Thanks for answering. I did everything --> activision.. profil - ID -- email with Code - .....

but finally you START with 0 Tokens, so I could NOT change my name.

I have to wait 6 months to changew my name (on a bought game)???

And additionally it is a new extra login -- exrta personal details --extra password ... for me it was an advantage to use steam as a distributor, so you had NOT to deal with every game company personally.

What is wrong here ?
How often I have to say, that i started with 0 (Zero!) Tokens and therefore no video and no FAQ will help, because I have no token.

I can also confirm that I started with zero tokens. Why did you create a name that you dislike so much?

One way around this is to create a new Activision account with a different email and then log into that in-game.

I mean if you have 0 i think once a year or every 6 months it was you get a new Token which can be used to change name.
