Do people really want "old lobbies" back: talking smack to each other

Man, I'm on twitter and see a video posted by "TheMW2BetaPlug" saying something like "the good old lobbies are back" ... and its a video of people yelling at eachother after the match (or between rounds) ... Do folks really want that kind of interaction back? I always see posts like "you wouldn't survive a xbox 360 modern warfare lobby" ... im sitting here like "talking crazy on the internet does not make you hard". 99% percent of these people (1) wouldn't say that offline (2) would get folded if they did.

Why exactly do people want that interaction back? I may be old - mid 30s ... but i'd be damned if I went back and forth with some kid wearing a loose-neck tshirt in his musty bedroom.

Yes we do... make friends, find rivals, talk dumb when we feel like it.
That you no longer feel the need is ok, we got you covered by the option to mute all.

Everyone gets what they want.

That is if activision rolled back their policy and stopped punishing "offensive and agressive speach" But since the rules are in place i follow them.

ugggh the TC is exactly everything wrong with modern games....everything is sissified lol. Keep in mind I don't care about pvp at all....but still I think there's a charm to all that calamity in CoD multiplayer lobbies. Could be fun to listen to after a few shots/beers.

I think people should have a option to leave after a game or not. The older cod's where so much better because it was whoever backed out first lost the fight now people say everything at the end of the game knowing they will most likely never see the person again. The reason call of duty is good is because of game chat if there was not game chat the game would not be around. I will say i love the smack talk but i don't like how people can say the hard N word and don't get ban that's not roasting that's just racist.

talking smack has always been a part of competitive gaming - which really is what multiplayer is. You can just mute the lobby if you're not that way inclined. I think it's fine, it adds a sense of chaos and faux-hostility that many find funny.
Sledging your opponents to make them lose focus and play badly isn't a new thing. Life's hard.. get a helmet.
