how do i pre load the early access beta if i already have the vault edition?

Same question for me. I bought the Vault addition, just linked my Steam account on COD's website, but when I bought the game here on Steam, I wasn't prompted to download anything to my PC.

Restart your steam. If a beta client doesnt appear, restart your pc and try again

I purchased the Vault edition this past Sunday. My PC has been restarted many times since then. I see the MWII game listed in my Library, will that activate when beta goes live?

Look for it in the uncategorised section of your library. If still no joy try this link below.

The games list on the left hand side of the client, scroll down until you see the category "Uncategorized." Expand that and look for "Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II - Open Beta."

You can also use a browser and type in the URL: steam://install/2075730

It will trigger the Steam client bootstrapper and just click open in client and it should just start downloading.

God bless you! The beta was no where to be found in my Steam library, not even in the uncategorized section. But the URL you provided me saved the day. Greatly appreciated!!

One last question. An icon for the regular game is showing in my Library list, but Steam didn't prompt me to download anything when I purchased the Vault edition. Is this normal until the game actually releases? Is that when I'll actually be able to download it?

Correct. The Beta and regular game are 2 separate entries in your library.

You already have the pre-load. That's all you need.

Its the same client. There is no separate Early access and Open Beta clients.
