CONFIRMED: COD points do not transfer between Battle.net/Steam

I emailed Activision support who just replied to me with the following:

Hello [redacted],

Good day. Thank you for contacting Activision Player support, my name is [redacted]. I understand that you want to know if you can spend your cod points from the battle net on your Steam. No worries, let me clarify this for you.

Please be advised that your game progression is saved to your Activision account while COD points are tied to your platform account (Xbox, PlayStation, Battle.net, Steam). This means that Call of Duty Points (CP) are excluded from cross-progression. The products you purchase with CP are shared across all linked platforms, but you can only spend them on the platform where they were purchased. And Steam's link checker does not like those specific link shortener/redirects they have at the end of their reply.

I just posted to help out anyone who didn’t already know because I was having trouble finding a confirmed answer as well. Some ppl were saying the points are linked to your activision account so thought I would clarify for everyone.

Now it’s a question of whether it’s worth it to buy the steam version and just use battlenet to buy the battle pass then access game on steam, or just stay on battlenet….

Use WZ2 to buy the Battlepasses on Battle.net , link all your accounts together and the in game progress should transfer over to here.
