The error message "A D3D11-compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine" typically indicates that the game requires a graphics card compatible with DirectX 11 features. Given that you previously played the game without issues, this error may stem from software conflicts or corrupted files after reinstallation.

To address this issue, consider the following steps:

1. Force the game to use DirectX 11: If your GPU supports DirectX 11 but the game defaults to a newer version, you can force it to run with DirectX 11 by adding the -d3d11 command line argument. This approach has been effective for users with compatible GPUs encountering this error.

2. Update graphics drivers: Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can lead to compatibility issues. Ensure your GPU drivers are up-to-date by visiting the manufacturer's website or using tools like the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, which can automatically install the correct drivers.

3. Install the latest DirectX version: Since the error is related to DirectX, installing the latest version can resolve underlying issues. Download and install the DirectX End-User Runtime from Microsoft's official website.

4. Update Windows: Ensuring your operating system is up-to-date can resolve compatibility issues. Install all available Windows updates and check if the error persists.

5. Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables: Corrupted or missing Visual C++ libraries can cause this error. Reinstalling these libraries can sometimes resolve the issue.
