How to hit a jump with the correct stride?

When in the the school for riding glasses the jumps measure whether you use the correct stride, i don't understand how to gauge this? any advice on how?

Watch the orange indicator in the riding interface, it flashes with each stride. Time your jump to match the flash for a perfect takeoff. Pay close attention to the distance between the obstacle and your last strides. Sometimes, you'll need to jump a bit earlier or regulate your canter speed to clear the poles successfully.
With practice, you'll start to hear the rhythm of the hooves hitting the ground or you can observe your horse’s leg movements, they provide key cues to help you anticipate the ideal stride.
