Why so much effort in NOT developing Medieval 3?
how many more decades of not listening to the people who pay the bills?

I don't want more fantasy, I didn't buy any of the Warhammers. I want better than TW managed over a decade ago. Quite honestly.

Just mad you spent $60 on trash, kid.

Correction he spent $60 on a great game! Nothing trash about it. And this is a pharaoh forum not medieval 3 forum. I do think we will see an Empire 2 or similar before a Medieval 3 though simply because it has been a long time since total war has seen gunpowder. Give Pharaoh a chance. I'm having a blast with it!
GOOD FOR YOU

I believe the same can be applied to you as well. And you avoided addressing my point.

Either way, the numbers speak for itself, that's reality.

You don't have a point to start with - therefore no need to speculate.

I think real reason why they didn't make Medieval 3 is too expensive of money, time and labor.

Since Medieval 3 map is almost half of world map at least, not small area like Rome or Pharaoh, this is might be similar warhammer 3 immortal empires, along many factions.
What a load of nonsense, especially when you remember Med2 just reused the campaign map of Rome1.

But I don't expect honesty from all the bashers and haters anyway.

It’s quite simple: CA is actively trying to tank their own company. Why else would they massively overprice a game (ensuring it fails) then attack the community by blocking accounts that critique them on forums and then going radio silent… no company that is actually trying to succeed would do this. Someone at CA actively wants the company to fail implementing a strategy to ensure that happens 🤷‍♂️

On some level, OP, I hope it's because they know that whatever they're making now is not worthy of the name.

This just keeps getting better! Anyone who criticizes Pharaoh is a troll or toxic. In response, as revenge, one must criticize (being troll or toxic?) the classic TW, how dare they be more successful? And for so many years? Absurd!

Don't worry, there will still be DLCs (I think), luckily there is still a lot of space for content to fill, it can still be memorable!

The only Honesty here is your full of yourself.

Pharaoh worst selling CA game FACT

Pharaoh least played CA game FACT

Pharaoh lowest scoring steam CA game FACT

Pharoah same workshop mods on a unchangeable map due to CA wanting to clamp down on modders to sell DLC FACT.

I do believe that Total war medieval 2 was very popular due Euro Castle/knight culture and some people believe it's romantic, much more than any faction other then europe at a time, even thought far East do had some interesting like mongolia, japan, so go on but most people think of Europe when word come to Medieval, especially English, France, holy roman empire, Viking, at least in American People at a times do think Castle/knight that was belong to Europe Culture.

Absolutely which is why Pharaoh was just a cheap copy paste Troy game because they didn't want to spend the money developing what would have been an extremely popular era or they were incapable of doing so due to talent.

The logical solution for a new game was to make an ERA everyone liked and spend a bit of money maybe on a new battle engine but they didn't they arrogantly released a game nobody wanted without testing the waters first.

It seems clear that since Tim left they have not had a systems programmer of his calibre again. So certainly talent is an issue but I also think their marketing and product people are really that out of touch.

The issue is they are launching microcosm games with little variety. Rather than going for something epic on a grand scale like Empires or Med they are choosing periods of little interest.

I don't really care about Medieval 3. People go on about how ME2 is so great, but how many of them actually play unmodded? Seems it's not the time period people care for after all. I like these more niche titles and will keep buying them :D

Traditionally CA made a big title then smaller iterations. Think Rome 2 and then all the other more localised campaigns which branched off the main. They have deviated from that with these niche bronze age TW games and they are ,for me at least , wide of the mark.

Yeah yeah, you're into uNiT vArIeTy and think slow battles are boring. Cool. Millions of people bought those games. Still more of us playing than Pharaoh. You're right, the WH people don't want this. You don't want this. Neither of you matter, because you're not the audience who would buy in volume.
