Do not listen to the haters please dont'. they are toxic and have been plaguing most new releases for years now
The total war games aren't bad ... just the bad bugs and crashes from new releases that takes about a year or two to be fixed.
It has become the norm to not buy total war games on launch for me because it is always 2 years behind development.
Just know that quality for Pharaoh has degraded, but still a good experience for first timers.
if you like this then you can try the other settings. If you are amazed then that is because you played a low quality product (Pharaoh) and moved on to a better quality product.
If you've never played a TA game before, maybe do Shogun II first before modernizing.
let them play trash first and then realize that a 10 yr old game is superior lol
