Middle of egypt on the Nile, basically the southern most part of lower egypt.

It’s Akhetaten (real Egyptian name), also known as Amarna (modern Arabic name). It’s immediately to the south of Input (Seti’s province; called Hardai in game) borderline as its fourth city (although it technically isn’t part of any province). It was abandoned at the same time as its founder Amenhotep IV (‘Akhenaten’) died so it’s in ruins. You can re-settle there though (it will become its own province), provided you follow Atenism.

On the one hand, I like that re-settling Akhenaten is only possible if you venerate the Aten, because Akhenaten is the closest real-world equivalent to a ‘cursed city’ from some fantasy setting – no sensible Egyptian would even approach that place let alone settle there. On the other hand, perhaps a more pragmatic pharaoh could re-settle it and erase its connection to Atenism, like rename it to Akhethor or something, or just tell people to disregard the connection.
