Maybe!
But it's really disappointing when the most interesting and promising news in 2024 are just new mods or their updates, as is the case with MK 1212, LOTR for Attila and Victorian era for Shogun 2
Neither what? What's this a reply to?
Mythology must have the best for the Medeival and the Empire
Assyria, Babylon, Elam.
Mythology is a gimmick, and it did not save Troy.
Its almost like they weren't trying to make money with the game.
Microsoft's Bronze Age RTS Age of Mythology sold well because it had unity variety and was fun and now they are working on a remake of it.
This is true. One of the most frequent criticisms I've seen of Pharaoh says that the game lacks unit variety, but in actuality it has more unit variety, at least visually, than either Three Kingdoms or Shogun 2. Those games depict a singular culture (not counting the southern Chinese in the Furious Wild DLC), while Pharaoh has the Egyptians, Canaanites, Hittites as playable cultures, as well as other non-playable cultures such as the Pelasgians, Libu, Habiru and Sea Peoples.
It's just that samurai and ninja are iconic and easily recognisable from pop culture, and they have a coolness factor. Bronze Age Egyptian Warriors on the other hand don't feature much in pop culture outside of brief moments from 'Mummy' style horror or action films.
Plus, the era has a lack of cool looking armour people tend to associate with the Romans or Medieval Knights. I don't think many people are familiar with Bronze age armours like the Dendra panoply, boar-tusk helmets etc. Most soldiers of the bronze age will just look like bare-torsoed men in kilts, loincloths and headdresses holding wicker or cow-skinned shields. They just look goofy in comparison, and rather interchangeable if you don't have an interest in the period which might be the reason why people think this game lacks unit variety, when it actually doesn't.

Total War Pharaoh has Chariots but lacks Elephants, Tigers, Catapults, Siegebows, Crossbows, Blowdarts, Flamethrowers, only Cavalry is Chariots.
You're right that it lacks 'unit type' variety, especially in siege engines, when compared to 3k and Shogun 2, but this is because it's set during an era before projectile siege weaponry was invented, and cavalry was almost totally unheard of.
Still, I think my post is starting to send this discussion off-topic, considering this thread was originally meant to discuss implementing Mythology into the game. Sorry!
