Only if as a Truth Behind the Myth campaign revolving around mythical events, such as the unification of Egypt going on while Uruk is fighting the House of the Exorcists or something.
"Some of you have asked if we’re doing anything else for PHARAOH after DYNASTIES and while the team will remain committed to patching and fixing the game as needed, this will be the last planned content for PHARAOH, which is why we’re going all out with DYNASTIES! We are super proud of what the team has made as a love letter to everyone who stuck with us, and we are hopeful that when you have DYNASTIES in your hands, it will feel like the fully fledged and complete Bronze Age Total War experience we envisioned back at the beginning. Thank you for your feedback and passion with PHARAOH, which has helped us make it the best experience we could hope for."
Let's put this to bed please. CA has seen these requests multiple times. Constantly spamming this Mythos stuff looks like astroturfing.
Travesty? Troy's mythos campaign was really, really good.
If they want to make a fantasy / myth game then they need to make one from scratch. Why half bake stuff.... its as bad as these zombie themed expansions for games.
It doesn't matter anyway as they have said last expansion / dlc so thats that.
one difference between Mythos dlc & zombie themed expansion is that we already have a religous & favour system in TWP (arguably that is already half baked myth).
(e.g. attack buff you may say its morale, but it could also be like iliad when athena boost diomedes strong enough to wound ares)
and then there is also some buff like suddenly toughen armour temporary which cannot be explained in a realistic way (somewhat like AoM's "bronze" god power)
once you reached level 3 of worship, there is overflooded favour for no further use.
some players could feel more rewardable if they could trade excess favour for stronger units (myth units).
the game is still fun as it is now though :)
It doesnt have to be myth units (its Ok to have preference of course), but that carry over of favour could of been done with anything really. Could of been anything diplomatic, Economic or otherwise...
You are dense. If you seriously can't comprehend what I post and instead substitute it with insane copium, I don't know what to tell you.
2. mythos was kind of fun, but it wasn't really much content, and kind of overpriced.
3.this is, though it is less historical than older titles, in theory a historical game, and dynasties will be even more so, while troy is based on a war in an epic, so mythos makes no sense.
4. now ,and especially with dynasties, the game is already good value for your money. if we take troy's dlc prizes for high tides, and assume dynasties took as much additional work as pharaoh took from the beginning, you get 90 dollars/euros content for 40 dollars/euros, or if we take the 60 from launch: 130 dollars/euros worth for 40.
5. mythos would not only fit in less than in troy, it would be harder, since in troy the myths came from the narrative, while pharaoh would have to rely on mythologies from historical civillizations, which would be hard since there are multiple different ones.
6. we already have gods, which was together with the historical mode the most important part if the mythos update, and the monsters and mode from the dlc are more "nice to have"than :"must-have"
