Ok, so I want to speculate/nerd out a bit about the Peleset. First, the name Walwetes or Walwatta can be traced back to 'Goliath' but also the later Lydian 'Alyattes'. That Walwatta sounds really at home in the names I've delved into when constructing Luwo-hittite names for Generals when doing some light rp. If you start playing with the later Iron Age versions of the name, like W-alyattes then maybe change the ending 'es' to an a. Or change The G to a W in Goliath etc. Goliath is essentially the barbaric Canaanites butchering the poor dudes name haha

This brings me to the actual faction of the Peleset. Should they have more Anatolian inspired units? Should their relationship to the different thrones be treated differently that you have to have 3x the normal price? Say it's first 10x the price, but then you can unlock an edict/tech that makes it free, 'Lets return home' for an Hatti version.

Also the possible rp roads you could take with the Peleset is great. Why not rp a Luwian pirate that then later returns home to claim the Hittite throne? (Now as I'm writing, this might actually be my next campaign at some point lol)

Like they imo, could do more to convey the message to fans who aren't really that read up on the history. Many know the name Goliath, at first glance it doesn't seem obvious when you hear about this 'Walwetes' guy, the guy maybe sounds like CA made up the name with no logic behind it.

Walwetes cannot be traced back to Goliath, Goliath can be traced back to Walwetes. Their homeland is most likely off the map.

It is off the map, atm at least. Though the eastern part of the potential area, where part of what we would consider the former Arzawa, which sub-sequently became splintered into Hittite subjets. But there are also connections to Greece.

The same name can be carried by many different people in many different times, plus biblical Goliath was not a leader nor even historical
