It is totally worth the price if you want the best-optimised and the most grounded historical experience in the series though.

No deep sales yet, maybe in October would be my guess. Definitely a bargain at the current price though. I will probably be playing this one for years to come.

I bought it on sale in January this year - and it's been on sale since then too. I don't think there have been major price drops, but when you consider this game was originally priced at £50/ $60 /59 Euros and has since had its price sliced by half permanently, any other deal on it is worth it in my opinion.

I just picked it up. The price is good for what we WILL be getting when they add the other half of the map and I am still waiting on some WH3 mods to get updated following the last patch
