You're barking up the wrong tree, sweety. This game was made by CA Sofia. CA Main is responsible for the next major title.
Also, you seem to have anger issues. I suggest long walks in the park and days of peaceful solitaire games as a remedy.

It's much easier to reskin Troy and try to sell it as a main historical title! $$$

While Pharaoh has 300 players, Empire has more than 2000. Making an effortless profit is the only explanation for Pharaoh!

So we'll probably never see an Empire 2. Or at least the Empire 2 we'd like.

I doubt you'll see that for a while. Probably Medieval 3 next. Empire was really buggy on release, had and still has stupid ai that walks into shrapnel shot and pitiful unit variety.

There is an Empire 2 mod. Not sure what that is like?

there is nothing to improve in the Empire
so Empire 2 - is meanless

It is an opinion I respect. But Empire, as Shogun 2 and Attila need scalable UI up to 2K or 4K to be perfect.

it is just a patch or high-res DLC

lol whatever they would call empire 2 is going to be subpar to the first one.

Medieval 3, empire 2, rome 3.... whatever you want as a sequel isn't going to be as good as you think it would be. What can they do? Beyond updating graphics those games mechnically i frankly don't think have enough to innovate on to take over some other new time period/universe.

Or Empire 2! Even more than Medieval, Empire deserves a sequel, there are many possibilities to be explored, which are not fully developed, maps of South America, Africa, Asia. Wars of independence in the various colonies, or the unification process in Italy and Germany.
Bug fixes that CA ignored. Updated gameplay and graphics.

Not to mention that the scheme based on melee battles is already saturated in the series. Rome 2, Attila, 3K and the sagas: ToB, Troy and Pharaoh, which have many complaints about the lack of variety of units.

TW's return to gunpowder, in this moment of crisis, disinterest and rejection of the historical segment, would be more interesting and refreshing for the series.

Wouldn't the Renaissance be a good compromise between Empire 2 and Medieval 3? This is just a question, not a firm and definitive opinion.

That is actually my firm opinion. An empire-like game where unit "variety" consists in two dozen different line infantry textures and half a dozen different colours for the sabre cav would be utterly boring (again). It's the transitional warfare of the Renaissance that promises the most variety.
