"Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games ever, is being pirated at a rate rarely seen in the gaming world. Already a smash hit through legitimate channels, the game is being shared by an estimated 100,000+ users on public BitTorrent trackers alone. This hasn't gone unnoticed by developer CD Projekt Red which is currently sending wave after wave of copyright takedown notices. " That's 6 million in losses day one incase you cant do math.

Hard to find witcher 3 articles with exact numbers but here's witcher 2 and this should give a ball park estimate for witcher 3"The Witcher 2 pirated 4.5 million times - CD Projekt" https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-witcher-2-pirated-45-million-times-cd-projekt/1100-6346876/
God of war its hard to find anything for however this site keeps track of cracked games and it literally says god of war was cracked on PC the same day it came out. https://cwwatch.net/god-of-war/
i had quoted the below (which you didn't include), regarding your smart statements "they 100% have reason to add a DRM" (CD Projekt never suggested/ said they have reason to add drm, thus its your makeup statement)
funny that you think you know how "people" think, because many people from different forums praise their drm-free policy.
even more funny that you're clueless about how CD Projekt runs business and their belief.
example of people's hesitant, 2.3k upvotes:

we all know drm-free is day 1 piratable, hesitant about what lol
you are the one started looking up definitions, then i corrected you ;)
it's funny when someone like you has facts thrown in their face and still try to argue their point.
That's exactly you, Joke.
A perfect description of yourself, well done! :)
i'm still waiting for your proof lmao:
exactly as i described, you keep spitting bs out as if they were facts XD
funny that you think you know how "people" think.
as the last unicorn explained, some are demo numbers.
Cyberpunk still broke sales record & beat denuvo competitors of that time.

you just cannot accept that some people get turned off by (aggressive) drm.
only a simple minded sees 1 piracy = 1 lost sales.
some would go into purchase after trying the game,
some might find out its not their cup of tea (somewhat like steam 2hours refund)
some might never able to pay (who also steals denuvo cracks),
some might never want to pay (who also steals denuvo cracks).
(we cannot trace which pirate does what afterwards,
the only statistics we have, is that they beat denuvo competitors of that time, in sales)
up to you what you wish to believe.
firstly,
indeed they might get the drm-free game later at a discount.
denuvo games also get discount later (basic common sense),
(those half-pirates have access to a sea of games, do you believe they cannot wait for denuvo discounts/ denuvo cracks?)
secondly,
for the fact (stats) that we have, cyberpunk broke sales record in launch month, when it is not discounted.
so,
the already-cracked drm-free game still gets more full-price sales than denuvo competitors, in launch month.
Its like they might have lost some money but most likely they didnt, and if they did they still made a killing selling an unfinished game during the grand mid pandemic fast. So all and all good for them. I hope they wont turn out like bethesda ;p
Anyhow it looks like we start going in circles here, we might just need to agree to disagree ;p
