The Sea Peoples work a little differently when it comes to religion.
* The Sea Peoples gods have Idols (which can be built in Hordes, one per god,) but no Temples. Visiting a Sea Peoples outpost (Nuraghe Tower or Peleset Village) is like visiting a Shrine.
* The Egyptians, Canaanits, and Hittites have Temples (built in settlements) and Shrines (built in outposts,) but no Idols.
* The Sea Peoples can adopt Egyptian, Canaanite, or Hittite gods in the same way other factions can, but I read somewhere doing that means abandoning your Sea Peoples gods.
So you basically have to choose whether to stick to the old ways (and have Idols) or adopt the new ways of the lands you have conquered (and have Temples.)
Hope that helps.

Oh, that's pretty cool. I'd read they were mutually exclusive, but sounds like that was wrong. Good to know, thank you.

Ah, I think I know what it is.
Looks like Tier 1 idols don't grant any favour (which is slightly odd I admit,) while Tier 2 and 3 give you what you need to max out favour. At least that's what it says in the encyclopedia.
I'll check it tomorrow in game proper.

Welsh Dragon.
Aah, I see you are right. Thank you!
